Our Sponsored Walk
On 24th September 14 stalwarts of the Advocacy Plus Team, including 3 kids, walked the length of the Regents Canal (8 and a half miles) and raised over £1,000 for our favourite charity (Guess which one!)
The weather was perfect - neither too hot nor too cold - when we all set out at 10.00am.
We started at Little Venice and struck out for Limehouse Basin - 8 and a half miles away.
We thought we looked striking in our newly acquired Advocacy Plus tee shirts.
Apart from a close encounter for Edna with a speeding cyclist, the day passed without incident.
With a few well needed breaks along the way, we finally arrived at Limehouse Basin (above) after five hours' walking and made straight for the historic Grapes pub on the Thames (below) for a well deserved drink
The day was such a success, we will certainly make this an annual event.
